I got a problem... I recently moved to the u.s. and a few days ago, I found out that trading CFD's is not allowed for u.s. residents. I really can't believe that. Instead I have to trade futures if i wanna continue trading the indices.
What I need is a broker that has a good mobile app since i do a normal job and therefore I'm not home during the day. For CFD's I used MT4 mobile which has very good charting tools, like you can see a market in every time frame that you want (daily, 5min etc..) and you can add indicators, use the cross hair stuff like that. And it was even free.
does somebody know a broker that provides such an advanced app that allows you to trade futures? What brokers would that be?
I checked out tradestation and eTrade. I have an account at IB and also checked ninja trader 7. Though I dont get how to test the mobile app for ninja and I dont like the concept having to be connected with your desktop version to the internet all the time. CQG M seems good, but it is way too expensive.
The 2nd requirement would be that the broker allows you to trade the DAX-mini at EUREX (FDXM). However, if it does not i probably will be able to deal with just trading the ES or YM instead. eTrade does not provide EUREX futures. But I think, americans also trade DAX, it shouldn't be so specific...
any help would be really appreciated. thanks a lot
Or do you know a mobile app that just provides you real time + historical data and the mentioned charting tools?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I will check that one out as well. but i think tradestation does not offer the FDAX-Mini. i tried iBroker and CQG-M today since it comes free with APM futures, both of which are so much worse compared to metatrader mobile. I spent the whole day today and beyond doing that research.
my alternative would be to just use a demo account of my CFD Broker for the quotes and charting and then just trade with the IB app. they seem to provide real time quotes of all their CFD's even in a demo account and they are very accurate to the indices.
We maintain a platform which is called OTG Mobile Trader. It is android and apple compatible and you can find it on the app stores. It may suit your needs, however, I am not sure whether FDAX is available on the demo. It could be provided via live trading.
Thank you,
Matt

Check out Trade Interceptor for mobile charting. I don't use it for executing trades so don't have any comments there, but fairly satisfied with the mobile charting capabilities of that app relative to other mobile apps.
i just checked it out. It is really awesome, exactly the same style and feeling like metatrader. As if it is copied or comes from the same company or developer. Just minor things that are still better at mt4 like the cross hair function and other things that are probably better at trade interceptor like the alert function. Thanks a lot for that hint.
it should actually not be a big deal to develop a convenient trading or charting app. I dont get it why so many companies are struggling with that.
I guess Trade Interceptor does only FX and CFD's on Indices. That app or MT4 with future quotes would really be perfect. I don't know if that is possible.
