I am receiving an error on my Macbook when I try to startup through Bootcamp and go to Windows:
"Fat32 Check. One of your disks need to be checked for consistency. "
Then Windows runs a check and finds no problems. This takes a really long time. Then the computer restarts and runs the check all over again. This check is recurring and doesn't stop unless I push the power button and hold down the alt key to head over to the Mac side.
Applecare tech support says its a Microsoft issue. Microsoft says I have to pay $60 if I want them to fix it because I am running on XP and it's no longer under warranty. Hence my post here. I want to avoid paying someone at Microsoft (or anywhere else) to tell me that my drive my has gone bad and I need to send my Macbook back or that I need to reinstall Windows. If there is another fix, however, and someone here knows about it I would appreciate any feedback. I looked it up at Microsoft support and I can't seem to pinpoint the problem there. I looked it up at Apple.com and someone posted about this problem but no one responded to the issue.
The only thing that I can think of that may have caused this problem is that I purchased a new LG monitor and installed some drivers on the Windows side that came with it on a disk from the box. For a couple weeks I was able to boot to the Windows side but now I can't.
Oh..and I tried booting in safe mode and the computer freezes up so I have to restart.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have something special in the "Event Viewer" ?
If booting in safe mode makes the computer freeze, this is quite strange, and should not happened...
You know... Fat32 was recommended in the Bootcamp instructions...:/ Every forum thread I have seen on this since had people ask the same question... why fat32. I don't know why Apple recommends that. If I need to uninstall I will and I might try ntfs.
NTFS is faster isn't it? That's the way I installed all my machines here in the office..
I think the way it works is, NTFS has better security features, is recoverable in case of HD failure, on small volumes its a little slow, but on large volumes its fast, better disk space..
I finally installed Windows 7 and set up a new partition with NTFS. I don't even think Windows 7 allows the user to run on Fat32. Everthing works fine now. Apple said that the partition got corrupted somehow with XP. I bought an LG monitor and installed some drivers that came with it when all this happened. I read somewhere else where a guy had his partition crash on him because he installed a Sony monitor. It probably has nothing to do with why it crashed in the first place I don't know. I do know that was the only change I had made at the time when the boot-up failure started occurring.
