Does interactive brokers still do the mandatory disconnect every night? I often leave my systems unattended for days at a time and logging in each night to reconnect is not something i want to deal with

Yes, the TWS still needs the daily disconnect. I personally use the IB Gateway which does not need the disconnect. Works nicely = stays permanently connected and recovers when i run through the daily DSL reconnect.

Cheers Michael
