I just loaded NT7 this weekend. For the next week or so I'm planning to use NT 6.5 to trade live during the day, then use NT7 at night on market replay - to get used to it.

What is the fastest way to get a full day's worth of data loaded into NT7 for market replay?

I see that I can use "File/Utilities/Download market replay" to download the day's data - one instrument at a time. ( I would be downloading ES/TF/CL and 6B).

However, someone from NT Support told me that I can simply open NT7 in live data mode at the end of the day and it will pull the historical data into the proper files for replay for that day. That seems faster if it really works.

- Is that correct? Can someone confirm that?
BTW... I use mirus futures with zenfire data if that makes a difference.

Thanks,
Todd

I cant figure out what I am doing wrong, trying to get the data to play back in my window. I made a short video, sorry no mic. But you will see what is happening. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you have historical data recording enabled: Go to: Tools>Options>Data Tab>Lower left corner> Check "Record for market replay".

That should do it. You will start getting historical data for market replay from that day forward.

This is about market replay data...

Can historical data be converted to market replay?

Is market replay data available/sold at BigMike or the official Ninja Trader forum?

After watching Example/Tutorial of Real-time [AUTOLINK]Price Action[/AUTOLINK] Trading on Vimeo I am interested in the CL (for market replay).

If the above 2 questions are answered as 'no' does it matter what vendor I would choose
for the data? I guess Online Futures Trading | Futures Broker | Zen-Fire Trading Engine | Mirus Futures (that is, Zen) is the most popular ????

Thanks,

- Stephen

Your profile says platform: n/a, btw - should update that if using NinjaTrader

If you search the forum for "market replay" you will find a thread started by me that has many months of market replay data. I stopped doing it January this year, as with NT7 you can just download market replay data on-demand.

You cannot import market replay data from a broker data feed (zen fire). It doesn't work that way in NinjaTrader, the event has to unfold 'live' and then NT builds market replay data from that event.

Mike

If you have time. Otherwise enjoy the holiday.

I have downloaded the data.
The replay Play/Pause/Fast Forward display comes up and plays after clicking on Market Replay then > (right arrow)
There is no dropdown menu of all the data available in the Market Replay.
There is no chart to see.

I am using NT 7.

I guess the market replay data is in NinjaTrader. (see attachment)

I must be missing a step or two, as I can't access it.

I believe most questions about Market Replay have been answered in the main thread:

I would guess you have selected the wrong instrument when loading a new chart.
