exit tied to entry won't work?

I tried for the first time to tie a stock exit order to an entry. Try as I might I cannot get it to execute. I know the command is case sensitive.

I end my buy signal with:

buy ("buystockA") 200 shares next bar at close + .02 point limit ;

I end my sell order with:

sell ("sellstockA") from entry ("buystockA") 200 shares next bar at close - .02 point limit ;

It makes the first buy and then runs out the backtest period with an open position.

I can change the exit by bracketing off the entry portion to read:

sell ("sellstockA") { from entry ("buystockA") } 200 shares next bar at close - .02 point limit ;

And with that change it will buy/ sell dozens of times as expected.

I have tried this dozens of times, with caps/no caps, paste/ repaste, retype, and nothing.

What am I not understanding? Thanks

PS: I am using the latest update to 64 bit MultiCharts.
