Is it possible to change FIFO on futures? If yes, how can we do it. My account is opened in US. Appreciate any help.

Are you talking about TWS or TOS? Your profile says TOS.

yes you can. There are special offsets that could be arranged for trading, like FILO.

Please PM or email me for further discussion.

There is a risk of loss in futures trading. past performance is not indicative of future results.

Trading futures and options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. You may lose more than your initial investment. All posts are opinions and do not claim to be facts. Please conduct your own due diligence. Use only Risk capital when trading Futures.

I use TOS for charting purpose only. I have account with IB which always is FIFO (atleast that's what I see on TWS/mobile TWS), what I am interested is when we have scaled in two contracts at different prices can we do last in first out instead of FIFO?

Thanks for the help...

I do not recall saying that my advice is conditional upon moving to Optimus.
Changing accounting procedures could be very unique to each scenario, so I wanted to shorten your research.
Anyway, best of luck.

Tax basis with IB:

I thought it would be controlled via TWS but looks like it's on their customer portal.
