Greetings to everyone here at BTM.
I have been "trading" stocks since May of this year (notice the quotations as my definition of trading is a loose one). I don't want to really start my first thread ever by posting a bunch of dumb questions, but I am sure I won't be able to help myself. From the reading that I have done, there seems to be a lot of the posters stating that there are tons of great info on this site, which is very exciting, as I am all ears to learn whatever I can. Big Mike recommended trading ETF's in another thread if you are a beginner, which is certainly what I am. I like stocks, but I would prefer to trade something that may be slightly more technical in terms of analyzing charts, moving averages, data in general, etc, as when trading stocks I don't typically do much data analysis outside of looking briefly at balance sheets, earnings reports, etc. Other recommendations on things to trade that are more technical outside of ETFs? E mini futures seem interesting, but Mike suggested shying away from futures if you are a beginner.
Anyway, I wanted to keep it brief. I look forward to any comments and l also look forward to future discussions and learning from everyone in this community.
Philly.
