Is there a way to prevent the CQG ladder from placing orders on the left mouse click?
Reason: I've had a regrettable fat finger trade. This happened when I tried to focus on a ladder that was obscured by my QFormula window.
I don't want my ladder to be that sensitive. I like buying/selling at market, and I sometimes place limit orders, but I do not want a feature that enters a trade immediately at the price accidentally clicked on - I'd love to have that capability switched off.
Thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The best way to prevent fat finger orders on a dom is to enable confirmations, so that you have to confirm each order entry on a separate window before it is placed
In addition to Japhro's useful suggestion, the only 2 scenarios I can think of where a fat finger trade would take place with the CQG ladder are either if you click a limit order when the inside bid/ask happens to be there or you click on buy/sell at market. Was that one of those cases?
The other alternative would be to use market orders via keyboard commands (I think they need to be enabled) and leave the mouse for limit orders only.
