I started trading real money recently and do not understand why there is such a big difference between my actual profit and the profit listed under account performance in Ninjatrader. Even after accouting for trading fees, it doesn't add up.
I'm using NT7 and IB and I'm trading futures. Today IB is showing a profit of $302 but NT7 is showing $465
At IB's rate of $0.85 per trade at total number of trades being 37 listed on NT7, I calculate a fee of $31.45 not $163. That's huge!
What am I missing?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
No they dont lie
it's 0.85 PLUS exchange
The clearing alone on CME for ES is 1.15
That is a total of 2.00 which VERY reasonable.

You most welcome. futures.io (formerly BMT) members have posted many threads about commissions and their breakdowns, I suggest that you become familiar with that or/and become familiar with execution cost. This would allow you to choose platform and technology based on your method, and not the other way around.
Thanks,
Matt
