I just joined today and am excited to be part of a group of people who are serious about trading to make a profit instead of using it as just another form of gambling....which it is if not done correctly and with a good working strategy. I have never actually traded before, not even on a demo account. I'm brand new and just watching YoutTube videos and some webinars, training sites and reading some Kindle books. Right now I'm reading an excellent book entitled:
"A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online" by Toni Turner. Very well written for sure! I'm not even sure what I'm allowed to say, for example, is it okay to mention a specific book on this site? Well, I'm sure I'll learn the rules better in time.
I chose the name "Tradergator" as I'm thinking of myself as an alligator in the murky waters of the Market looking to gobble up (or pounce on) those profitable exit/entry positions as they appear.
Question: How to I send a question to one of the moderators? I need to contact one.
thanks so much for your time. May you be prosperous in your trading career!

Here's hoping you find exactly what you're looking for! I have high hopes that I will learn a lot here as well and believe this is a great site to do it on. Have fun learning!
My advice would be like Cory said, start from the beginning. I am doing the same exact thing. I have been reading through some threads here about beginners, Took a look at the Sticky thread that tells me what some of the abbreviations stand for that people use so frequently here, I just ordered a book that was suggested by many here called "How I made $2,000,000 in the Stock Market" by Nicolas Darvas, and I started a journal to track my progress from Noob to trader so that I can get others advice and opinions. A nice user named DBPhoenix just gave me this awesome PDF that goes over how to make a trading plan which many here have said is an absolute necessity when it comes to trading and staying on track so I will be reading that here in a few minutes.
Here's a link to my Journal, you're welcome to come and join me in learning what I feel will be an exciting field of work and you can also see the PDF that DBPhoenix posted and read it for yourself. Good luck man!
So in case you haven't seen my introduction thread (I'm sure you haven't), I'm seriously new to the trading game. I don't know any of the lingo like price action, draw down, etc. but I have been interested in it for years, just never …
I am also on that journey of exploring the wilderness of trading. Some things I have come to consider important:
Determine the time of day one wants to trade.
Size of startup capital determine the trading market.
Proper risk management. Back testing a trading plan
Understanding your weaknesses in trading. (Look at this section on this website: Psychology and Money Management )
