Hi: to all of you
My name is David Cormier and I have open a live account at ThinkorSwim wanting to begin day trading, I have a few thing to share today as to what I have learn of the Paper Money ThinkorSwim account as to a live account. And also have a few question to ask to this forum.
Concerning ThinkorSwim Paper money account
1. We cannot place a Market on close order on an option contract, it don’t work.
2. We cannot place a Limited Price on close order on an option contract, it don’t work.
3. When we place a sell order on an option contract on the market open it sell it right away, but there is to be a 20 minutes delay on Paper money account with don’t seem to apply to option contract. Because it sell it wright away.
Concerning ThinkorSwim live account,
The Market open at 9:30 Am, the Stocks activities is wright away, but Option chain activities seem to be delayed 15 minutes after market open.
Question 1: Is it commune for this to happen? Option activities start on 15 minutes delay in the morning.
Question 2: Is there a brokerage firm out there that doesn’t have this 15 minute delay. Or is there another way to get around this situation, concerning trading option contract.
Would really appreciate any input on this situation.
