It's seven years old, but I can't see that much if anything has changed. What he describes is largely why I chose the NQ in '98, and I've had no reason to change.
We tend to underestimate or even overlook the value in knowing an instrument intimately, to the point where one doesn't even have to think about what to do when trading it.
Not going to define any futures contract as "best", however FDAX due to leverage and volatility may meet your criteria.

I agree, and would add FT71's recent comment that with his risk system that looks for people in trouble, often they are in TF. If you're that advanced it's a non-issue good on ya, but fair warning.
Also, he feels it is a leader, I've taken that advice and use a TF chart to help me with NQ trades.
