I'm starting my own blog after reading this but blogspot has been messed up too much today to do that...
Reading that post gave me the weirdest emotions I've ever experienced. Like having trained in a martial art for years and your guru has just died.
His books are great but Traderfeed is the nuts...I've started my morning reading his words of wisdom for 4 years now and I guess its time to grow up and not become old as I have started to become...
"Remember this: Your growth always lies on the other side of your discomfort. Whether it's in the weight room or in career decisions, you'll never develop yourself by staying in your comfort zone. People don't become old when they reach a certain birthday; they become old when they decide to live life without crossing that line of discomfort."

Yes, a sad day. I saw this yesterday and immediately sent it to some friends. I understand why he is doing it, and I think it is the right move for him. But it hurts for the rest of us!
As far as I know, he still intends to write (books) yes? So at least we can hold out hope for a 4th book sometime.
This is indeed quite sad. I'm always enjoyed the posts and thoughts on his blog, and found that they have tremendous value. Besides that, he's also kind of a big inspiration for me, so it was always nice to read his posts.
I just started down this path and have heard lots of peoples comments and thoughts of traderfeed and the doc's books. I intend on purchasing and reading them all. I really hope he doesnt take the blog down...maybe we should make a backup of it and make it available in elite? I do need to read through it all.
It's sad that hes moving on before I could have taken advantage of such a resource.
