I have asked this question on the Multicharts support forum and I would like to ask here as well.
I have several instances of Multicharts running in different places and all of them use tick charts and the same datafeed, session template and reference the same number of days back. They even have their clocks set the same way even though they are indifferent time zones and those clocks use Dimension 4 for keeping them synchronized.
In my mind, I expected that if I set the template to 60 days back, Multicharts would start counting from the first tick of that day and all the charts would be the same. This does not seem to be the case. The differences are not huge but the OHLC values of the candles are different because the starting points seem to be different.
The problem is that if I am using price patterns in my strategies then they execute differently from one machine to the other. What I would like to do is have my local tick chart match what I see on the VPS for example. I can't seem to find away to make this happen. Is this impossible to do on Multicharts? Is there a way to set things up so that the history in the local machines database is automatically synchronized between different machines over the internet?
regards to all,
Alex
