Recently I was reading a book on Gratitude called "The Magic". It made me realize how much I take for granted and how showing gratitude, appreciating and thanking everything can change your perspective and attitude. Here is a simple example how I use gratitude during trading to manage stress. Usually when I am in a stressful situation, I remind myself to take deep breaths, try to stay calm etc. If the stress / discomfort persist, I will start worrying about the stress itself, creating more stress.
Now instead of fighting the stress, truly accept and welcome the feelings and sensations. Show gratitude and say thank you from deep inside to the stressful situation for the opportunity to increase your awareness of feelings, giving you the opportunity to be in the present. Once you bring conscious awareness to the feelings and body sensations, you are in the now / present. So next time you have stress or discomfort, dont fight it, show gratitude instead.

Every life situation is like this, it presents an opportunity for you to evolve as a human being. Live in gratitude is the best way to do it..
