My 50,000 Continuous Combine through TopStepTrader!
Tomorrow Starts my Journey of becoming a FUNDED trader at TopStepTrader. I have been mulling around the website for over a year, been paper trading for 6 months and now I'm ready to try this combine thing out! I hope you all gain knowledge from my postings and enjoy!
Day one was full of apprehension and nerves that I wasn't expecting. I watched a few good trades get away from in the beginning of the open and hesitated too much. I placed two trades witch where booth at a lose of -4.75 points. Attached you will see more detail on the trades placed.
I was assuming that the bearish downtrend would continue. The trend was printing lower highs and lower lows, but i failed to see the conviction of the bulls turning what I thought was bearish rally into a new uptrend.
The first short was an attempt to sell the a rally in the previous established downtrend. And the second was just plain bad trading; I was hoping that the market would reverse at the point for some reason, I believe it was a bollinger band.
I was mistakenly trading under the simulator account in Ninja Trader so I haven't officially lost any money in the combine and the guys and gals at Top Step Trader were kind enough to start my billing for the continuous combine today!
ahaha I did the same with my first combine I felt so relieved when I realised it was just the sim! I blew up pretty badly anyway lol, I didn't realise how much the pressure would effect my trading. I am starting another one tomorrow, my goal is to break even I feel that if I don't have expectations then I wont become emotionally involved.
Understanding yourself is just as important as understanding markets.
