I've been trading inconsistently (I've a pretty demanding corporate job) for about 16 months and my passion for trading is becoming pretty serious. A brief history of my trading phases so far:
1) Ok, QQQ is da Boss Here - - - I started trading stocks on Plus500 (aka "the noobs trap"), I was doing pretty good until one day in April the indices suddenly decided to take a drastic dive and take every single stock to see what's underwater - that's how QQQ got my attention.
2) QQQ I'm Coming to Get You! - - - So I told myself "I should trade the indices instead of single stocks"..."Mmhmm...QQQ seems the one with the highest leverage and volatily, let's go with that! Since I'm pretty successful in my other personal and professional endeavours, I bet 3k dollars that I'll surely nail it!!". 3k dollars (lost) after, QQQ really got my attention.
3) QQQ I'm Sending my Robots to Get You! - After some months of noob-loop (research -> find the holy grail indicator -> nope -> found another one -> nope -> that one seems really the one that... -> nope) I finally found a couple of EA systems that I could apply to QQQ daily. Backtesting in the previous 2 years showed I'd be millionaire in 3 to 4 years. I was already planning to buy the MGM in Vegas and a tiger to guard my room when I turned to my screen and saw what I will define a "flebile correlation between the backtesting curve and the real equity one".
4) Ok QQQ. You Won a Battle. I'll Start Doing my HomeWork -2.5k dollars lost by EA :withstupid: in live trading- after, I finally surrended: I have to learn to trade. There's no other way around it. And since I love trading...let's get to work!
