Quick question about trading ranges

I've been studying about learning how to spot, read, and understand reversals when I realized I was lacking some crucial information. When unsustainable price action occurs and the market corrects it through a 10+ bar, 2+ legged correction, does a trading range count as a leg? I know that spikes and channels can each count as individual legs but I am unsure about trading ranges.
