Hello fellow traders,
I wanted to provide a tidbit of information regarding my experience with IBīs european gateway to the forum. Specifically the latency of the connection. I started with IB because I live in Germany and wanted IBīs international exposure. I started my account on their US server so that I could trade US equities. Then I started trading the DAX and moved my account to their server in Zurich. The latency from my house using Kable Deutschland (ca. 28 MPS download,2 MPS upload) is on average 34 ms. The US server was approximately 4 times as slow. fyi, the latency from my pc to home gateway is ca. 3ms. It would be interesting to know the latency from other traders in Europe.

Regards and have a good trading,
JohnS

Thanks Fadi for the information. Just curious, what command did you use to ping? you pinged with 56 bytes of data. I pinged with 32 bytes.
