Hi All,

i am trying to do something in sierra chart but not getting anywhere.

i am trying to draw a line automatically at a calculated price which automatically updates as the calculation changes. basically, i am trying to calculate x= POC -Low of Day and y = High of Day - POC. if x > y, draw a line: High of day + (x-y) if x < y Low of day - (y-x)

is there a simple way to do it without going into ACSIL? maybe with some studies or some feature?

thanks a lot for any responses in advance and for any help as well.

Yes. You can do this with the math studies (study subgraphs add, study subgraphs difference). Just need to calculate both values and then use the color bar based on alert condition to select based on your criteria.

This would be easy to do with one instance of the Spreadsheet Study study.

Thanks a lot for your response mate.

Will this allow a drawing of line on the chart itself? I am not sure how this can be done.

Thank you tomgilb for your response.

yes i did think of this but I will ask you the same question, how can i draw a line on the chart itself for that value? any tips/suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.

The following assumes these two studies exist on the chart, and that both are Hidden:
TPO Value Area Lines (Reference Days Back set to 0)
Daily OHLC (Reference Days Back set to 0, Graph H & L Historically... set to Yes)

Add the Spreadsheet Study study to the chart.
-Give it a name in the Spreadsheet Name field
-Set the Chart Region to 1
-Set the Draw Style of (M) SG3 to Dash, set all other Draw Styles to Ignore.
-Press OK and OK
Use these formulas in these cells:
X line
cell K3:
=AA3-AG3

Y line
cell L3:
=AF3-AA3

Calc line
cell M3:
=IF(K3>L3,AF3+(K3-L3),AG3-(L3-K3))

where AA3 is the POC, AF3 is the HOD, AG3 is the LOD. Edit formulas as needed.

Yes. Attached is a chartbook if you want to see how this can be done.
