Hi all,

I've been poking around here for 16 days (as I've been reminded every time I visit) so I thought since I'm just sitting here watching the Saints give the Panthers a thorough spanking I'd dash off a quick intro before turning in for the night.

Several months ago I decided to look into trading after examining where I've been in my life and where to go from here. At 56, I'm not a youngster any more. I've been self employed nearly all of my life. For the last 30 years or so, I've been a real estate broker/investor. After the real estate/stock market crash in 2008, I decided I was never going to allow the suits to take all of my money again. The first time was the S&L crises in '92. There won't be a 3rd time.

About 4 years ago, I took the little money I had left and opened a cash advance store. It's taken all of those 4 years to get the store profitable enough to make it valuable.

I also buy scrap gold and I'm looking into providing a tax preparation and/or paralegal service at the same location. I have a lot of business experience but the last time I owned a stock was around 1988 or so. Probably before some of the members at this forum were even born There's a much deeper story here but I'll tell you all later when I have more time.

I used to be a large consumer/contributor on Usenet since back in the day when the only way to get on was with a 300 baud modem and a CompuServe account.

I graduated from the musicians institute in Los Angeles in 1982. The same year I bought my first PC with nothing but floppy drives and 8 mbs of ram. Along with the 14" monitor, a daisy wheel and dot matrix printer, I think the whole set up cost about $3,500.00. State of the art and a tidy sum back then. That was BEFORE the mouse just to give you some perspective. I started building my own computers around 1988 and never looked back.

Kudos to Mike for chiding me into posting something. I haven't posted on a forum since about 1997 I think. I like your style and you've done a very nice job here. I hope to learn a lot about trading and maybe contribute a few tidbits here and there that I've learned about business since I arrived on the planet.

So that's a little about me. Any questions, just fire away.

Thanks Mike ...
