Show Me Alert Problem

I have created a show me study with an Alert. This alert includes a few conditions. When I plot the same conditions on a chart, it shows the exact spots that I would like to see. But when I enable the alert on a “chart” or “radar Screen”, I do not receive the proper alerts.

Here’s how the Alert and plot looks like;
If condition1 and condition2 and condition3 and condition4 then Plot1(close);
If condition1 and condition2 and condition3 and condition4 then Alert;

Can anyone kindly explain why the alert is not working properly?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

arashf,

keep in mind that alerts are only generated for the last bar. Other than that it's hard to comment on based on the few information you provided. How does the alert configuration look like?

Regards,
ABCTG

Hi ABCTG,

Thank you for your response and my apologies for the late response. Let me try to make a bit more clear by going through the short side only. Condition1 identifies a close Below the Red Lines, Condition2 specifies time constraints, condition3 and condition4 identifies a short Entry point (shown in Yellow Dots).
I am able to see the "plots" on the chart but does not work for alerts.
I also tried the method below and still did not get the same results as the plots on the chart.
If condition1 and condition2 then
Begin
If condition3 and condition4 then Alert("Bearish");
End;
.........
To clarify more,
Condition1 and condition2 HAS to be true before looking for condition3 and condition4.

Thanks again ABCTG.

arashf,

if you receive a plot when the condition are met I'd expect the alert to be triggered at the same time. What are your global messaging preferences?
Also is anything displayed in the Tradestation Message Center?

ABCTG

Yes, i receive a pop up Alert and it also shows on the message center.
I think the main problem goes back to intra-bar calculation, because I do see false signals sometimes when I'm watching the charts live. The false signals on the chart are shown when the bar is still active and not closed. Is there a way to code this?

arashf,

if I understand you correctly and the alerts do appear in the Message Center then they have been triggered and you might want to contact Tradestation why they didn't trigger a sound and popup window at the same time.
You can limit the alert triggering to the end of the bar by adding "BarStatus(1) = 2" to your final alert condition.

ABCTG

Thanks for all your help ABCTG. I finally found the main problem. I had to "Load Additional data for accumulative calculation" and uncheck "update value Intra-bar(tick-by-tick)". They were both found under "general Tab" in "Format ShowME". Thanks again for your aid.
