Hope it is not a duplication. I am following this topic for a long time back, and I have not found this service. First of all, I would like to do agree with @Big Mike and I do not believe that a trading coach will make you rich. If he would, than everybody would start to using that service, and nobody would be rich at the end. So I do not believe the reviews, and I have lost all of my money at this or at that service. If you would, than you have not read anything about trading before you have been entered a room, and most probably you didn't listen the room owner at all.
But, I do believe some rooms some mentors could make a difference for some people. So if you can find a good mentor, that would be really helpful for your trading carrier, and if you are listening first, before you trade, than even if the service is expensive, they can save you a lots of money.
So here is this room, and let me start my experience about it:
- They have 1 week free trial
- They are doing overview all of the room trades on their youtube channel [yt]https://www.youtube.com/user/futurescoach/videos[/yt]
- They are a little bit pussy to learn their methods (5K USD), but it looks simple, and transparent
- They are trading the market open (first 2 and half hours) on the ES, but during to learn the method, you are trading they are trading the CL in realtime. So it is a learning by experience room
- They were on ninja webinar:
I was in the room for 1 month, and I have learnt a lot of patient from Rick (he is leading the live room), which made me confident about that what I am doing. I am planing to check back to their method, looks very objective and transparent for me, but not yet.
I am highlighting them only because I do know that some folks are looking for shortcuts, easy ways, and trustable mentors. Please always do your own due diligence first, because noone else could know what is the best for you. Here are my pro-cons:
- The live trading room calls was transparent enough for me with the youtube reports, but in some cases, maybe because of my weak english, the entries was not called clear enough. Anyhow they are using 8tick mental stop, and lots of the cases they are canceling the trades way before it would hit the stop. So calculating these fuzzy calls (there were not many) as a 4 tick looser, the room was still transparent enough
- On the video they are calling results for 5 points, 8 points wins. In reality you have to get prepaired they are scaling out on the way. Meaning they like to scale out 50% of the position after 1 point win, to put the trade into breakeven. If you are doing your own research you will realize that, most of the trades what they are calling are hitting the 1.5 - 2 point target on the ES. So you can use other scaling and moneymanagement method to get better results. They never now how far the trade will go, they have targets, and if the trend is changing, they will let you know to go flat, till that time is totally up to you how you are scaling out your position
- As I said sometimes they are a bit pussy with their method, but at least they are really passioned what they are doing
- They have a setup called PowerPlay what I really did not liked, but in reality I never saw it failed either. So if you are following their advice than most probably you will be safe
And for god sake simtrade with them first, really!
(I do not have any connection with them, I just simply liked them, thus sharing. If it is a duplication than sorry)
I am a bit embarrassed. I hope I have learned my lesson and I hope others will as well. First of all, Rick Mazur, the poster actually sells the mentorships for Sam Goldberg, https://www.futurestradingcoach.com/. You can't tell by his post as he doesn't disclose the fact that he works for Sam Goldberg.
It costs $10,000 for a one-on-one mentorship. They have a plan where you can pay $5,000 down and pay the balance over the next 3 months. Additionally, they charge $297 per month.
I paid $5000 up front and then the following month another $1500.00.
All payments must be wired to Sam Goldberg's Wells Fargo bank account. Yeah, I know, I had it coming. I should have known anyone only accepting a bank wire is shady, at the very least.
I was in the room every morning for six weeks. Sam called out one, two and up to four trades a day. Most of the trades were losers. There is very little, if any worth while trading education provided in his room.
10 percent of the time Sam talked about trading and 90 percent of the time he talked about personal stuff.
His mentoring consisted of 4 two hour phone conversations over the last six weeks. Most of the conversation was B.S. No videos, no pdf's nothing other than (4) one hour phone conversations.
I have to say I learned absolutely nothing from Sam Goldberg.
Sam makes a lot of fraudulent claims in his webinars that are posted on the internet. He claims that his "system" is "mechanical" and "easy". There is not much mechanical about his "system".
I am filing a complaint with the CFTC as well as Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo needs to know they are facilitating a fraud by allowing Sam Goldberg, https://www.futurestradingcoach.com/ to use the bank for his bank wires.
If anyone has any questions for me, I would be happy to answer.
i was in his room for about a year. i would agree mostly with Jeffman. Way too much rant from sam or rick.
the youtube videos are over rated,
they tend to start screaming when there is a trade at the last minute.
i think sam called some good trades. and he followed his setups very closely.
but he also had some crappy ones.
i didnt have much in the way of winning days.
and he didnt really seem to care when people lost.
it seemed like some people do well.
the chatroom is set up where you cant see what anyone else is saying.
and can only type to sam, cant respond verbally.
Trade what you see, not what you think.
"The better the mechanic, the fewer the tools"
"Futures Trading is risky and can cause substantial financial gain"
Just ended my subscription on the room. Rick seems to be a genuine guy. But they dont tell you how they trade in the room. They call trades and you can make money. But you have to have several contracts to do so as they take profits on the way. But he always says get in a free trade. You can but then you start loosing money that could be made. Say you have 4 contracts and sell 2 at 2 points on ES, that is money made but the scale out of the other 2. You dont have to know their trading set ups but you do have to learn how they trade and they dont show you that in the room. Calls are decent but alot are not clear. They do no not show their trades or any profit or anything. Been in several call rooms and some show the trades live on the screen, Rick does not. They use NT just for trading but use I think E Trade pro for the set ups as NT is not the best for indicators as everything is lagging indicators on theirs. He can call trades but he dont show how to manage the trades. If you dont know how the set ups are it makes it tough to manage yours. If he would show his trade entries and exits live on screen the room would be probably the best around and have hundreds of people in the room all the time. But they wont do that. Dont have to show what indicators or software they use but the trades being called shown on a blank chart would be nice. Show the trades on a blank NT chart display is all they need. Dont care about how much they make or how many contracts. Show the entries and exits live on a blank chart and they would get alot more members and keep them also. The most transparent room I ever been in was Sean Dekmar, he shows it all. Losses and winners, but he is penny stocks and those are not for me. They could learn alot from just showing trades on a blank chart with none of their set ups and have hundreds of members. But they wont so if you want the room be prepared to get frustrated with calls that are not fully clear all the time and trying to learn how they manage trades to their set ups.
A friend and I subscribed 1 month for fun - it was summer & I was on vacation. We had two computers setup & w/n an hour we were WTF!!
Ahahaha! That was 2008. Goldberg was screamin' like an out of control Banshee! He's about collecting that mentorship money & wearing you down until you quit on him 'cause a huckster will NEVER quit on you. That's the grift.
Another buddy and I in 2013 or 2015 listened in for a few weeks w/his coke-snortin' bro who runs the trading room.
GTFO!! It was full of 'if-then'/coulda'-woulda'-shoulda' 'late calls' & gobbledegook w/crude & nq & es being traded.
Nothing but a money-grift from these two shysters. I admire the effort but that doesn't pay the bills.
