Hi all,

I use an online virtual trading platform to practice and experiment with my trading skills before going out into the real world.

I use Yahoo Finance to get my data feed. I trade equities.

Would anyone be kind enough to tell me what 'Avg Vol (3m)' means? I know that it is something to do with the trading volume in three months but is it the average over the last three months, or what?

And for Bid and Ask prices, if they are skewed upwards, for example stock price is $10.00 and the Bid is $10.30 and ask is $10.45 this usually means that the stock price will decrease, right? And vice versa

Thank you very much!

If the bid is 10.30 and the offer is 10.45, I presume you mean that 10 was the last traded price? So yes, assuming that someone traders somewhere between 30 and 45 the price will go up. And yes, 3M is either the average volume over the past 3 months, or total volume - depends on what data you're looking at.
