Hi Mike i was reading one of the posts & you say u need correct settings for the TS Supertrend Indicator depending which market you are trading. Period,Multiplier,Smooothing what settings would you recommend for CL market. And would they change for different time frames. Thanks

Hi Darren,

I do not use SuperTrend and haven't for a long time (around the same time I stopped using Blue Wave).

But, when I did use SuperTrend, I primarily used it NOT as a signal of when to enter a position, but instead as a signal of when to exit a position as well as a measurement of volatility.

I liked to use it on a range chart (it works best on a range or renko style chart).

There are plenty of other members here who do use SuperTrend. But there is no right setting. The settings will depend on your objective, your risk limits and types of targets you are going for. Only you can answer that.

Thanks for reply mike, yes i have been using it for a kind of trailing stop (safety net really).
