Hi everyone,

I found out from the SC site that the SC Demo is only 15 days long.

I am wondering if anyone knows any vendors which provides SC Demo for 30 days or longer?

I am currently backtesting my new model in the incubation phase, and would like to sim trade it.

Thank You

I believe if you fund an account with @mattz at $10,000 or more he provides Sierra Chart for free (indefinitely). Best to check with him at Optimus though.

At the moment we provide package 5 for $27.5+ Plus Historical Bid/Ask Tick data With Rithmic (Free)+ our own navigation bar.

The demo provided bu Rithmic is for 30 days, but Sierra always extend it beyond 2 weeks for those who have asked.

@mattz, it was my understanding that Rithmic only provided historical minute data and no historical bid/ask. On Sierra's website it actually states under the Data/Trade services section that this is the case.

Does the historical bid/ask + tick data you mentioned actually come from Rithmic? If im not mistaken when using Sierra, historical data excluding the current/front contract comes from Sierra's own data, then live data and any historical data for the current contract comes from your specified data provider (eg: Rithmic). This means that any historical data for the current contract that is downloaded does not include tick or bid/ask.

Many thanks, just making sure I understand.

In the case of Rithmic through Optimus futures, historical Intraday data is tick by tick and includes bid volume and ask volume. This is for both current and expired futures contracts. Refer to the Optimus Rithmic page on the Sierra Chart website:

Excellent, thanks for clarifying. I always liked Rithmic's live feed but them only offering historical minute data was a deal breaker. Good to know that is not the case through Optimus, I didn't know it was broker specific.

Thanks.
