Do you use multiple computers? Why not run AMI in a cloud and have your workspace mirrored anywhere you go?
I wasn't sure if this would work, but gave it a shot and has been great so far. Will update if I run into any issues.

All you need is some sort of cloud service.
I recommend aeroFS, because it's free and allows you to self host (== unlimited storage if you have an old machine to use as a server, you are also in control of your own data/ its not stored on some companies server.)
DropBox is the well known alternative.

Simply get your cloud up and running, then install AMI to the cloud folder on each computer (all install to the same place).

Now everything is mirrored! Cool stuff.

Note, you need to be mindful of weather the changes you last made are pushed to the server both before you log off for the day, or log in on a different computer, otherwise you will end up with lost work. Not a big deal, and very much worth the extra mindfulness.

I guess this isn't so much a step by step tutorial, rather it's just a post letting you guys know that it's possible.

*note that running AMI in this way is not standard and may be a risk to your data, work, or otherwise, so use the technique at your own discretion*
