Gents, I used MetaStock for over 20 years going back to their beginnings in Canada, about the time TD introduced on-line trading. Lately I get the free after-hours download of daily data. It was good enough for short term (less than 6 months) investing. I see myself having more time in the near future so I started looking at some day-trading concepts. That’s when I realized that neither MetaStock nor Option House where I have all my accounts, have a platform where I can just drag and drop indicators on a live streamed chart. While I did wright some filters for MetaStock searches, I don’t really want to learn another profession and start programming. What do you suggest or recommend I should start looking at, other brokerage companies, some purchased platforms….? I lost track with what’s out there and how it all works . I like Option House commissions (I still pay $2.99/transaction for securities and low option commission) but if I need to, I will look at alternatives too.
Thank you and good trading.
Daniel

I'm in a a similar boat as you. I currently swing trade equities but I'm looking to do some futures day trading and I'm looking for the right broker and platform.

For a day trading newb, you can try out eSignal. My 1st platform 11 years ago was TD Ameritrade along with Stockcharts.com, and after a couple of successful years, I graduated to eSignal, which was really good to me for several years. It's extremely user and newbie-friendly platform out-of-the-box. The only thing is that it's expensive.
