After some communication, Sierra Chart development team has agreed to complete their already existing Dukascopy realtime datafeed support to a full integration via FIX protocol, including full order handling and historical data (a permanent demo account is being handled by Dukascopy for this purpose)
The only counterpart is part sharing of the development costs by end users, that is to say $500. I'm attaching a ticket screenshot as proof.
Given that fact, they engage to complete the connection coding within 30 calendar days.
I would like to know if other people are interested to backup this project ?
$500 is little but there's no reason I would pay for it all as many will benefit from the feature.
Dukascopy has grown out immensely within the last year. All environments and tools they created or improved are now close to perfection and probably the best spot FX offer out there. To top it all, CFD trading is planned to be added late 2014, beginning 2015 and that trading would also be covered by the Sierra connection, once available
Just a note that after some communication, Dukascopy agrees to give a FIX connexion (required for the SC integration) to customers with a balance down to $50k instead of $100k
Besides, FIX demos are available for 15 days
Still nobody interested, trading with such amount of money, for a solid broker ?
I agree but they won't.
Dukascopy consider their own platforms' development alone and they do an amazing and visionary job on any of their various projects. They don't mind 3rd party software but they won't get involved.
Sierra, well, they need pot
(Awesome thanks. Lived tons of time around Geneva as I'm half swiss but Andorra will be my last country and I hope to get the nationality and lose the french and swiss ones, that is just how much I feel at home here)
