Can EL be used to generate trend lines?

I have lots of experience with EL, but never used a TL before and now have the need, so, is there a relatively simple way to have my indicator automatically plot trend lines with data I generate from my code and if so, what do I need to know?

Also, is EL capable of calculating and storing the TL value for each bar so I can make a rule with this number?

Yes, there is by either using the new OOEL drawing objects class or the old fashioned TL_New reserved word. It's pretty straight forward and if you have lots of EL experience you should find your way around in no time.
