Yes.

How do I make calls to a REST api using c#? - Stack Overflow

You'll need to be more specific.

What does the API do that you want to call?

I'm interested in the idea as well to store trade histories from strategies to another machine automatically but I'm wondering whether it'll be fast enough.

I wanted to capture the market data and other telemetry (e.g. indicator values) for analysis. I wrote a Restful webservice and deployed on Tomcat webserver and it's lightening fast.

OK sounds good. What did you use? Spring / Apache CXF?

Jersey. I put it together in few hours. Might convert it to CXF/Spring later.

Are you into automated trading or is this for research for discretionary trading?

Good luck with it anyway. Looks like that stackoverflow article lays out the details for you.

It's for research, but I would like to extend it further for automated trading.
