BigMike's latest poll topic raised a question I have been wondering about for awhile.
Is their software/script out their that will automatically take screenshots of my chart for me every time a order is executed. One of the things I track for myself is taking screenshots of my entries / exits so I can look afterwards at what I was seeing when I executed.
My question is - and @wldman peaked my interest in this topic as he was saying their is an indicator that automatically posts to a journal online - does anyone know where this is? and also if their is something that will automatically take a screenshot of the journal and put it in a template where it would be easy to write in comments.
Thanks alot!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
This platform is made for discretionary trading and is produced in Austria called Agenatrader. Tour - Tradeescort AgenaTrader - Tradingplattform für den diversifikativen Handel und weiteren neuartigen Features
I have not bought that product, however a friend of mine told me that he can advise that platform to take screenshots in a specified format everytime he moves a stop or enters a order.
As you can see in my profile I favor a different platform. However, just read the description and maybe it is the right for you.

Just starting this thread as a placeholder so as I make progress on this I can update the thread. It will be a while as I've been sick for a while now, and am quite behind on other things like emails and PM's.
Yes you can do it using the futures.io (formerly BMT) API as @LogicalTrader posted. There is code there that shows how to do it programatically, including posts with screenshots.
If you aren't a programmer then you would have to rely on someone else (a programmer) to release a package built around the code posted for the average person to be able to do it.
At this point no one has done so, but there is nothing stopping someone.
Every futures.io (formerly BMT) user has a unique API key which you can find on the bottom of the UserCP. A user needs to specify that API key (which is top secret, never to be shared) and then just specify a thread number to post in. This thread is number 31404 for example, which you can get by looking at the URL.
This little indicator can save a screenshot of a chart (the chart the indicator is applied to) to a user selected folder.
It works with a little button on the chart:
93004
or with the hotkey Alt+P (this can be changed in line 160 of the code).
