Attached is a working indicator that allows the following:
1) Draws a Line at requested Level that can be changed by dragging on chart without refreshing.
2) Once line is touched, an Email and/or Text is sent
3) Alert window is triggered
4) Custom email/text message can be included via indicator window
Here's what I can't seem to figure out...
The rearm function does not seem to work or I just don't understand what exactly it's supposed to do.
What I'm looking for is to have the indicator reset itself so it will trigger again after price moves away from it's intial trigger, then returns... that what I thought rearm supposed to do but guess not
any suggestion would be very helpful... I love this indicator and will submit it to the Elite once everthing is cleaned up!

The rearm function of the Alert is simply a time delay to prevent the alert from potential false triggers if the condition that caused the alert is still true. The help text says, "Sets the number of seconds an alert will rearm. If the same alert (identified by the id parameter) is called within a time window of the time of last alert + rearmSeconds, the alert will be ignored."

thanks for that bit of information. can you tell me if it's possible to have this indicator reset itself after being triggered...seems like i have to F5 or refresh manually and not automatically.
You can certainly have the logic reset itself. So you need logic that says alert detected and then you need to decide how you want to proceed. So if for example price has touched the level (lets just say going up to the level and touching it) and the indicator triggers, when do you want it to reset? When price clears the line above then comes back down? Does it alert on the way back down or only on the way up or both? Once you decide how you want it to operate you can then set up the programming in that way. I invite you to examine an indicator I recently modified for someone where there was a similar situation of a line being crossed setting off alert then waiting until line was crossed ion opposite direction to rearm the alert.

ok, did some searching and found this indicator "WilliamsRforDKHoward" that you built.
will take some time to get my head wrapped around how to incorporate the code into my indicator but it looks like you have some bools in there. not a programmer here for sure but like to tinker
