NT7 GbDivergence3 Spotter (NJ7) - Charting Problem
1) CHARTING PROBLEM/FLAT LINE
I am having problems in that this indicator 'flat lines' on the chart at times when its scale jumps and hence seek help in ensuring visual of this indicator on the chart at all times.
The attached chart Picture 2 (for the period 11.49am to 13.22pm) shows a working indicator visual when the scale ranged from about -5 to 106. However in chart Picture 3, the indicator visual “flat lines” as soon as the chart moves to 13.33pm and the scale jumps to -200 to 3800.
2) PARAMETER SETTING & USE
In addition, kindly explain the use of the following parameter & data settings for this indicator (see Picture 1):
a)Line Selected = D (?)
b)Calculate on bar close = False (?)
Your assistance is deeply appreciated
Thank you
Pat
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
This indicator seems to have good potential. However, the member who converted it for NT7 has advised that the indicator is likely to have some problems.
Would one of the other experienced members be kind to look into the Indicator and either remove the kinks or perhaps develop/suggest an alternative
I am not familiar with the indicator you are using, but have found in the past that my FLAT line problems generally are caused when I AUTOSCALE or with two indicators stacked in the same panel one indicator that goes in decimal values less than one and another that goes into the thousands. Try turning your Autoscale off and see if does anything to help your picture.
I am not familiar with Line selected mentioned, however with Calculate on bar close set to FALSE that means that you want this indicator to run through every time you get a new tick in for whatever you are charting.
Another great source on these settings is the NT7 online help. --> NinjaTrader Version 7
