Hi there guys,

Anyone having problems with TS TradeManager and TradeManager Analysis?

Because they both have not been functioning properly for a while now, for months actually...

On (Update 24) it was really messy, for example the reports were showing winning trades as losing trades and losing trades as winning trades; On (Update 25) which is the newest version it is even worst because now I can not see anything at all, even the past trades on the chart, the only thing I can see are my account balance and the position graph bar when I have open position. So in other words impossible to keep metrics.

I spoke with them over the phone a couple of times, they said there is in fact a issue with the reports and they are working on it, but can not say when the issue will be resolve; They also said some people are having this issue but some people do not, I would like to ear from you guys.

I have been patient but honestly I can not work like that for very long.

hey mrphr, sorry to hear you having problems. Maybe you wish to check on the forums is there is a solution or with support. I have been using 9.1 with update 18. I do not move versions unless i need one. Also I do not use trademanager/analysis...other than the Matrix only for entry/exit on live. I know i had some issues with order fill when i did SIM...for couple of trades. Anyways SIM does not suit me...so always am on Live.

hope you get this resolved. Cheers n Goodluck !!

thnx

I am not on TS forum I do not know why, I guess I do not feel the need to be there; I prefer to send e-mail or call them direct, as I said I already have spoke with support over the phone, anyways...

TS TradeManager and TradeManger Analysis is where you keep track of your positions, orders etc... And where you track and measure your performance [metrics] it is not where you enter/exit trades.

If you do not use the TradeManager Analysis how do you keep track of your work and progress?

Mrphr,

I am noticing problems with TradeManager and TradeManager Analysis as well. I am missing trades (live) in both tools. They just don't show up at all. I have not been in touch with support, but am glad you mentioned that they are aware of the issue. I may go ahead and contact them as well just to let them know we are still experiencing problems.

Kevin

Did you contact them?

@mrphr,

Your post just reminded me...(sorry). I just sent an email to Client Services. Hopefully I'll get a response back on Monday.

Trade Manager and Trade Manager Analysis has been unreliable for years, since at least 2004 or 2005. I don't expect it to ever change.

Hi @kevinkdog, thanks for the info; You see I did not know that it has been like that for years, as I do not use TS for very long. I thought the issue would be more recently as I spoke over the phone with the support twice and they said that there are people working on it already, like do not worry it is going to be okay...

So, how do you keep track record [metrics] of your results on TS?

The issue I had/have with Trade Manager is that it did not always record trades properly. For example, at some point in the live history, Trade Manager mistakenly thought a sell to close was actually a sell short. Once that happened, all stats became meaningless.

Here is an example of what I do:

I compare the actual trades results with the Tradestation Strategy Performance Report (which is based on the strategy engine calculations, not the real trades).
