I saw there is a big discount offer for both Multicharts original or with .NET version, only $997 until 06Dec2013.
I am not a programmer so C# looks too complicate for me. After reading some books and review here, think that Multicharts maybe my choice since EasyLanguage looks not too difficult to understand.
The only concern is, seems not many support for Multicharts, people right here I think nearly 90% using Ninjatrader. The people/user in MC's official forum is not so friendly as futures.io (formerly BMT).

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Have you used MC for a while and know you like it? I didn't like it at all, so I would recommend you try it out thoroughly before buying it and not make a quick purchase just because it's on sale. If you already know you like it, then Tradestation uses easy language too, so I am pretty sure you can also get help on those forums.
I downloaded the trial version before by using IQFeed trial datafeed, but not start to program by EL yet, the platform looks so far so good, user friendly.
However I had only compared Multicharts with NinjaTrader (Excellent but I don't know C#) and metastock 11 (outdated platform).....Some people here suggest to learn C# as Ninjatrader provide a more flexible platform, and the support team is more gentle. But I think putting time and effort on trading skill is much worth than learn the programming if the aim is only to make profit...........

Let's do some homework first.
I have abandoned ninja and now use MC and Sierra chart.
MC support is very good.
I would download the free version of .net SE which allows you to trade 2 symbols only , but there is no charge for this version.
I mostly use MC for autotrading due to the huge selection of autotrading signals that come with the program.
It is good for that.
Ninja had a great tool for autotrading where you could build your own signals and test them. Especially if you used Bloodhound software add on.
Unfortunately, I had too many problems with bugs and errors with Ninja to use it live.
But it was excellent for learning the basics of programming and exploring your own ideas.
You are right about the MC forum , it is not as robust, but the support team at MC is far better than Ninja support.
In my opinion.
If you are set on Ninja, I would suggest the Bloodhound add on which opens up a whole new world for programming on Ninja. It is a superb tool and they have a free version to try and see how you like it. You only have to purchase it for live trading down the road.
For my autotrading needs, MC is great.
Sierra Chart is difficult to use for autotrading in my opinion. But Sierra is an extremely fast and stable platform. And you can create strategies with a spreadsheet as well as their own SC language.
The strategy development with spreadsheets was interesting as I played with it, but there are shortcomings to that as well.
Ninja ? Most of my time was spent troubleshooting all of the errors I got while autotrading.
And I got tired of hearing " please send us your log and trace files".
MC has many signals that were ported over from Tradestation, and they have stood the test of time.
They must have some connection to Tradestation, it is very similar. The key is to find a robust Tradestation forum.
I agree with shanemcdonald28 MC Support is very good! I also abandoned ninja trader because at the time it was a bit unstable, they probably fixed it now for all I know. But the thing that led me to MC was the auto trading capabilities, when it comes to auto trading MC is probably the best! I have ran automated trading systems in the past with MT4 but my trading system went beyond MT4's capabilities because with MT4 an EA will only run on a time based chart and I like price based charts. I also use Esignal, but there is hardly any support if you need custom coding done. What ever you can't code your self in MC you can always pay someone to do it for you as easy language coders are plentiful.
I waited for the Black Friday offer.
Got a email saying that owners of a current lifetime license can buy a second on for half the price.
Therefore I bought the easylanguage version for half the price, to do some prototyping.
The C# version has maybe much more capabilities for customization, however it is much easier to test trading concepts with the easylanguage version.
When it comes about ninjatrader I just do not like the interface structure, therefore I decided to get Multicharts.
I just love the interface of MC.
Support is in my opinion very friendly, sometimes they are maybe a little bit slow in solving my problems. But overall experience is very good.
C# isn't terribly daunting. I'm very confident that it's worth the investment of time. The amount of existing code out there that you can integrate is limitless. That said, the limitations that are applicable to both MC and MC.NET.. well, they are what they are, but the dev team seems pretty responsive to customer wishes.
Is the Multicharts v14 +Advanced Strategies Pack is worth buying for 1,997USD? And will be any discounted sale for the lifetime licence of Multicharts v14 +ASP?
Is the lifetime license is just 5years or beyond it's for unlimited years? lol
