Using Historical data of past years to formulate a bias for current day trading
I dont think futures.io (formerly BMT) has this type of info I ll ask @BigMike
I know some traders use historical data from years past to give them a bias for current day trading. ie. the day before Halloween from the past 20years of historical data has always been bullish. This is the type of info im looking for and Ive seen a site where u could look up the past (x) years and it will calculate bullish or bearish meaning u could look at last 5 years S&P or 10years or 20 and know bullish or bearish
Ive never looked at this info before, thought Id look into it if someone can direct me to the site I crossed a few years back. I cant locate it now
You just want OHLC data? You can find years of tick data in Elite section of futures.io (formerly BMT). If you want daily data, you can get it anywhere.. Yahoo, Google come to mind first.
To clarify what Im looking for... I remember or seem to remember lol a site that had historical data for each day of years past and this site would break down by session bullish or bearish sessions. It had a calculator feature where you could select (X) years and it would figure bullish or bearish for that session(and instrument) off of input number(years) you selected
They might have been one of those fly by day trading sites, so Im seeing if anyone or you can help. I know @tigertrader uses info like this as he posted a link to the traders almanac 2014 in the Spoo thread. I was hoping to find something online like what I remembered finding years back.
This site has info for the S&P in a easy to read format but it doesnt have a search feature or anyway to generate what I was looking for as I explained in my prior post
