I know there are a lot of animal lovers on this forum. I heard this story and saw the pictures of Joseph the Shepard and it breaks my heart and angers me all at the same time. How does a person do this to an animal?
Anyway, he was left chained to a tree for 4 years with little food.
I originally read the HP article while I was still on vacation. It made me sick, but I didn't want to dwell on it while on vacation. Thanks David for bringing it up again and giving me a chance to offer some help for Joseph.
It made me sick as well. I try to be open minded regarding different cultures and upbringing, but I have a very hard time trying to figure out why anyone would be so abusive an animal. My roommate told me about the story some time ago and I usually don't want to hear about these things because it's so upsetting and sad, but I decided to read a little about it when I heard he was rescued and would recover.
I had heard that Joseph was adopted by a loving family. That's good news for Joseph and the family. He will be getting Heart Worm treatment until that is resolved.
