Assuming you have GOM data files downloaded from someone/somewhere for the date and time you are displaying on your chart, by default GOM will look for them in your \My Documents folder.
To steer the writing and reading of files into another folder, you need an environment variable created; here's how it would look in Windows 7, once you create this environment variable; in this case, I am storing them in C:\GomFolder.
