Hoping to get this done for free, but we will see.
I am in Need of a Auto Trailing Stop Strategy that is based on Parabolic Sar for the Trailing.
Trades would be Initiated Manually through Chart trader, and then the Trailing Stop would be Automatically executed by the Parabolic Indicator.
here is a Link of a thread that says it could be done in this way. www.bigmiketrading.com/ninjatrader/23408-manual-entry-automated-exit-ninjatrader-trader-other.html

The Chart shows the Trade and Parabolic Sar for Trailing.
Things to Consider would be as Follows:

- Platform Disconnects....what happens to the Trailing Stop or would there be any Stop Protection?
- would the Parabolic Sar Trailing Stop be Unwantedly Executed by way of either Bid/Ask quotes and not True
Executed Prices?
- Any other suggestions would be appreciated as this is ongoing project for me until i get this Strategy completed.

Tradestation comes with an auto trailing parabolic SAR exit strategy built into it, so it seems to be something traders want.

Thanks Impulse for the Response.
I will most likely continue using Ninjatrader for now, i was just hoping to get a Reliable Automated Trailing Strategy that would help with Exits and maybe it would help by keeping my finger off the Close button

I don't want to advertise anything here in any way, but you may want to have a closer look at IW TradeManager:

Trade Manager | Day Trading Software | [AUTOLINK]NinjaTrader[/AUTOLINK] Day Trading

It's not a bargain, but this tool lets you choose from various (trailing) stop methods including PSAR and can be very helpful with risk- and money management as well.

Thanks Daytrader999 for your response.
Yes, i have seen that Program as it is Nice, but for the $ it is more than i need just like you mentioned it is a Nice choice and flexible for Stop Management.
So many features and Trailing stop choices with that Program.
If i could just have the Parabolic Trailing that worked as it should , i would be fine with that.
Just set up my Trade in Chart trader with Hard Stop and large Target 1 and let the Automated Trailing Stop do the rest.
I believe that could work for me.
Thanks again for your response.

While i am thinking about having this Strategy Programmed, i am going to ask who would be a Good Programmer that could do this work at reasonable cost, based on the criteria i have mentioned?
I know where to post to have a Programmer contact me about it, but not sure who i would consider to Program the Strategy.
Maybe some folks here have a Good understanding of who might be interested in Programming this Strategy and does
have a Reliable reputation working with Chart trader & Strategies such as this.
Thanks to all who could help in this matter.

Just FYI, I believe NinjaTrader v8 may be able to support this. But I could be totally wrong. NT v8 is under development as of today so nothing is finalized.

I just wanted to let you know in case that affected your decision. You might find more info in the NinjaTrader v8 Preview webinars. I believe v8 is expected to be released sometime this year.

Thank you for your response MrYou,
I will look into Ninjatrader 8 to see what new features it might contain.
That would be Great for non Programmer like myself.
I hope current Ninjatrader 7 Indicators will be able to run on the new platform as they are.
Thank you for the heads up on the possibility of having Trailing stops by way of an Indicator for Ninjatrader 8.

Here is something i would hope could work together, but i am not a Programmer.
Just asking if someone would like to combine these together for a automated trailing stop.
I would like to use this if it could work reliably.
Looks like it is using a 14 Period Moving Average for the stop currently within the Program, but i would like to replace that with the Parabolic Sar.
Could someone give this a try?
Thanks in advance.
