In case anyone hasn't seen it. Originally posted in "unidentified", but if true, I would think most would
want to know this difference between what "most" "think" and what the "reality is".

At least it mentions 50% of all stocks and bonds are owned by the 1%. So a trading fact
to take away from all this.

Funny how while wealth (and corporate wealth) has increased vastly in 30 years for the top 1-5%, livable wage jobs
are disappearing in the U.S for most.

interesting.

it is widely accepted wealth inequality has gotten worse and worse everywhere, especially since liberalism struck back in the 80's (thatcher-reagan-neoliberalism). countries with little or no social safety (uk-usa atlantic type economies) nets got several times more unequal than those like european-scandinavian countries who do redistribute more vigorously. the usa is the developed country with the worst wealth inequality, and by far.

( 40 maps that explain the world)

and yet, the wealthiest people have access to off-shore banking and investment vehicles which put big chunks of their income away from this scrutiny, inequality is still a little worse than what is shown in these charts.
