Does anyone have experience with running NinjaTrader under Boot Camp with win7 on a Mac?

I'm in the market for a new system and the new Mac Pro ( Apple - Mac Pro) caught my attention mostly because of it's size relative to performance. My plan is to have monitors in different places that I travel to but only have to keep one computer up to date. This will remove a major headache as I have already given up on trading on my laptop because of the hassle involved keeping two systems up to date.

Any commends will be greatly appreciated.

I run ninjatrader on virtual machine created with the free Oracle VirtualBox software on OS X 10.8.4

I found that it runs better on windows XP however...
I have an old 2009 iMac with 4GB of ram, and I see no performance issues.

The easiest solution would be to rent a VPS (virtual private server) close to the access point of your broker / exchange and then connect any mobile device - such as a lap top, tablet or smart phone - by logging into that private server.

You would not need to take care about the operating system, but just run NinjaTrader via the VPS.

By selecting a location close to the broker access point, you would also reduce latency.

Thanks Fat Tails, I have heard about this before but I have never actually investigate it. Do you have any recommendations or possibly a place where I can start from to do some more research into setting up a VPS?

The VPS is typically ready to use. You just need to log in and install your trading software. There are a few threads on this subject that you can go through.

I use a MAC with Parallels - solid as a rock.

You will need plenty of memory though - as much as you can get !

I would consider the use of a VPS for sure - depends on the way you trade and your overall needs.
