Hi - I'm trying to find code that will work in MC for this. Also has anyone used this / any opinions on it or suggestions for anything better? Many thanks.

There is a commercial product available that does if for MC and can be found via google.
I wouldn't be surprised it it's possible to code it directly in MC, once you have the proper formulas.

From my own experience with digital signal processing techniques in trading, they tent to work better when the signal quality is higher (i.e. you have a good trending market) and suffer when the noise raises (i.e. choppy markets) - which goes for many other indicators, too.

Thanks - I would suspect this has noise issues too. However if it works consistently with high signal quality then maybe correlation analysis could be used to build an ADX type indicator for early trend detection. If I can do anything useful with it I'll post it up...
