I got a big problem lately.

I keep sleeping less and less and I trade the London session everyday till about London lunch then I usually go to bed and wake up to trade the NY open.

However lately its been very difficult to get up in time. I usually miss the open and I never start trading late and just move-on to the next day.

What are some tips that works for you guys?

I guess I can try power napping

This is simple to solve.

If this was a regular salary day job, what would happen if you kept coming in late and your attendance was unreliable? You would get fired.

So if you don't want to get fired from your job as a trader, then make the necessary change.

Stop doing it. Pick one or the other. I did the same thing for a few months and quickly burned out on it, IMO it's an impossible schedule to maintain long-term.

I know what you mean however the fact that I don't have a boss is what makes me just say the heck with it and sleep longer.

Then your performance will suffer. Decide what is more important.

That's hard to do with the body trying to do it's sleep cycle. So you are having 21 hour waking days?
How about just trading after the London lunch then continue on through NYSE until NYSE lunch? Then regular sleep before that block of time or after.

I found that drinking lots of cold water helps staying awake or waking up after little sleep.

YOU are your own boss and responsible for your own life and its results. Talk to yourself (seriously) and see what part of your personality is driving your bus. Then find and put a stronger, more responsible part of you in charge!

Basically the only solution is to just not go to bed at London lunch and just stay up till NY lunch and head to bed.

Coffee and Loud Rap Music helps keep me awake. On Youtube there are some "workout motivational music playlists" that seem to do the trick.

Only solution for me that work.

no offense ....

keeping in view markets are fractal and chaotic , switch to larger time frames for large moves .. where we need to focus for less time at the EOD ...

if my winning trades can't relieve me of fatigue, what good are those ?
