Mike, I have found that the news articles from CNBC.com which are posted in this section - News and Current Events - Big Mike's Trading Forum stops to work after some time. And when someone clicks on the link then they get this error -

Quoting
Page Not Found
Click your browser's Back button to return to the previous page or click here to go to our homepage.

Although I do understand that this section is for current new events only and in that case these links also work well. But it becomes very irritating for those forum members who click on these links after some time and they are always shown the page not found error.

I would request that if it is possible, then please switch over the news feed links work to some other source which keeps the links alive for longer time. Because these same news articles are available on various other news sites as well and they are not exclusive to CNBC alone. If we continue with CNBC links then after few years we will end up with tons of dead links which do not lead to anywhere.

Anyway, having these news links is certainly better then having nothing at all, so it is up to you to decide if there is any better option available or not. Otherwise the current solution is fine.

Thanks a lot for your efforts

I wasn't aware they were doing this. That is the only URL CNBC provides, so they are deleting their own URL's.

I've tried other news sources in the past with very poor results. If you know a good RSS feed with no ads, no spam, no junk then let me know. The source must be RSS.

Thanks Mike

Currently I am not aware about a such good RSS Feed, but I will keep an eye on that and will update it here, if I find any.

In the mean time I request other members from futures.io (formerly BMT), if you are aware of any such RSS feed then please update that here. The sooner we switch over from CNBC the better it will be for our futures.io (formerly BMT) in the long run. As we will then have working links for all the old news articles as well, rather then having the dead links.

Thanks and regards

If someone makes a good suggestion meeting my criteria then I can go back and mass-delete the old threads since CNBC deleted the URLs..

Mike that would be Excellent. It makes no sense to keep so many dead links in futures.io (formerly BMT).
Hopefully someone will suggest a better alternative so that you can go ahead with this.

Thanks a lot
