There are threads on futures.io (formerly BMT) about how to ensure the "virtual" security of a trading PC (i.e.: antivirus, firewall, OS up to date, avoid installing software or surfing on suspicious web sites, regular backup, etc).
My question is about your experience on the most efficient way to ensure the physical security of your intellectual property (e.g.: NinjaTrader scripts or indicators) in case of a house-breaking.
Few alternatives come to mind (aside from having an alarm system...):
1. Using Windows Bit Locker to encrypt C drive
2. Password protected BIOS
3. Use only protected assembly code (using NinjaTrader CliSecure) and keeping all source codes elsewhere
4. Running NT and IB on the cloud with basically nothing on the physical PC at home
I see plus and minus with all these options and I'm sure there are others. Interested to get everyone's feedback and advice on this.
