Hello Traders,

Bob Iaccino TopstepTrader's Chief Market Strategist talks about Style Drift. At high level this means changing your strategy or making adjustments when you are in a winning / losing streak. I am guilty of doing this. In fact I was doing Style Drift as of 2 weeks ago. Bob stresses the importance of staying with one set of rules even if they are not perfect and reviewing them and adjusting them on a monthly or quarterly basis. No matter what level trader you are there is value in listening to the interview.

The Style Drift segment begins about 11:15 into the interview. The rest of the interview is excellent as well.

Hi Robert

Thank you for sharing the video.

I'd like to reiterate that it's very important not to change your strategy too frequently to respond to market conditions. Often when a strategy is performing it's worst, the good times are just around the corner. In fact, during a particularly bad run of losses is usually the worst time to change a system.

Trading profitably is about having faith in your system to trade it through to achieve it's edge.

CONSISTENCY is key.
