I am gabga100 and I trade since 5 years. I work in the financial industry ( as modeler not trader) and I love trading .... but since I come from Europe I just know one fellow trader.
Was wondering if anybopdy would be interested in organizing a trading get together amongst medium to experienced traders to xchange ideas ( the idea is to discuss,inspire and contribute ) , methodologies, knowledge , templates ,indicators, market situation ...around a beer ....
Let me know if anybody interested .....we will call it project Manhattan and who knows we might build our own Hedge fund if the collaboration is really good :-)

Great ... the reason why I think it is great to come to a get together with some experience it is because I do not want the get together to be like guru/teacher/scholar type ....it is full of this out there but the best teacher is by far experience...
everybody will enjoy it more if it is experience sharing based ......
Are you form Charlotte ? I will be honest it made me laugh when I thought you would fly/drive here just to listen to some dudes takling about blue and red bars .....

LOL! I lived for quite some time in NYC... and go back as often as I can. Already had some plans to be there or I wouldn't have mentioned it. I hate to disappoint that I wouldn't have flown up just to hang out with you and whomever else... too funny.
cool .... if you really want to learn .... by passion and not for money .... you should go to a trading fair .... there are some excellent teachers sometimes ....
Actually there is one in NY this week end with the excellent LINDA Rushke ( all the fellow S&P traders know her) giving classes for 700 bucks a day ....
if you are really good at negotiation... I am sure you will be able to exchange a class for a therapeutic massage in Charlotte :-)

Im game . Im on long island and am a member of a meetup group but its mostly Cramer knockoffs LOL , nice people though . Let me know and maybe we can meet monthly or something like that .
Cramer is for masses..... would we made any money if masses were perfectly rational ?

This time my Valentine's asked me for more attention than usual....
So far we are three , it starts to become interesting .... let's wait til this week-end and if by Saturday nobody expresses interest , let's try to organize something next week.... was watching the stats the other day and this forum has 3000 participants ..... so we are 10 bps of this forum :-)
