I'm newbie and I'm trying NinjaTrader last version. My impression is that platform is the best in the market, and for informative usage is free! Your's impression of this platform vs signal platform. Thank's to every one.

I do not know about signal, but I ve been using NT for 6 months. I am very happy with it. Being able to trade while testing another strategies (on simulating module) is crucial. The NT support is very effective, and this is also important .

I have been using eSignal now for about 6 months and I think it is great and easy to use, but it has it's limitations. for example it slows down and freezes when I try to set up ES and CL on a renko chart.

I have been told great things about NT and just finished a trial which i started to check out an indicator package.

Has anyone used both? Is NT that much better?

I use both and like both. Each has good abilities to explore. I mostly just use eSignal as my data feed but do have some active layouts in use as well. Many users like eSignal for its general trading universe.

It entirely depends on what you want to do. NT is much more open for customisation, 3rd party add-ons and own-development, but you would need to do your own exploring. I like eSignal (it is essential for the feeds I use) but I love NT7. Horses for courses and we are all different. Just have a play in the sandpit, NT is free to explore but is a large universe too.

One major caveat regarding intraday cash indexes (e.g Dow, Dax) - you can only use NT7 with the eSignal 10.6 Data Manager and NT8 only with the 12.X Data Manager. (12.X will work with either DM.) Not an issue for futures, although there may be better feeds if you were only futures and wanted to switch to just NT.

Cheers

Been using esignal since started trading . HAve a good guy that makes my indicators . They suck at customer service and would love to change . But being old and stubborn my brain is wired for it and dont want the learing curve to start over on another platform . SO i put up with there crappy service .
