Looking for a Time zone indicator, that highlights the various opening markets on the chart, I did down load one but can't find it in the forum anymore. it highlighted the background in various colors
looking at transitioning to the 6E
in Australia just can't do the US anymore

1. Top right of page, click search.
2. Click attachments.
3. Keyword: timezone

I believe that is what you are looking for.

if you're looking for the original, the click search option here is not going to help. since it's in the download section, you would have to do a search there.

anyway here it is:

What is tricky is that the session actually shift depending on daylight savings rules. While the London - New York relationship is mostly stable, the London session will move closer to the Tokyo session end of March. Tokyo has no daylight savings schedule.

It is therefore the question how the Tokyo and London traders adjust to the changes. I have always found volume to be a good indicator to tell me when the markets are open. So let us look what happens in winter and what happens in summer.

The chart below shows the current situation. If London traders want to deal with their Tokyo counter parts, they have to start working at 7:00 AM BST. Pretty unpleasant in winter. But if you look at volume that is what probably happens.

I prefer to define the time zones in TST, BST and EST to take into account the daylight savings schedules. If you set it up all in EST, then it may not work correctly.
